St. John’s high school Hinganghat is a Christian Minority unaided Educational Institution run by society of sisters of St. John, Wardha which is registered under the Society Registration act Bombay of 1860.
The society of sisters of St. John which constitute a religious society in the Catholic Church was founded by a German Priest , Fr. John Maria Haw. His intense love and zeal for social renewal inspired him to work for the liberation of people from social evils. The society started its presence in India in 1972 . The society responds to the needs of the time and is engaged in various activities like education both formal and informal , rehabilitation of the disabled and destitute, health care, empowerment of women, spiritual and pastoral care etc.
Education is a planned endeavour aiming at making children capable of becoming active , responsible, productive and caring members of the society. The fundamental purpose of education is to create good human beings .The society took up the challenge of educating the children and youth with love and compassion of Jesus Christ the supreme Guru. The society’s first school was started in Hinganghat in 1974 . St. John’s High School CBSE is situated in the city of Hinganghat in Wardha District and is committed to provide quality education to children irrespective of their financial status. Over the years the institution developed into a popular institution in Nagpur division with its outstanding academic achievements and special focus on personality development and extra curricular activities. St. John’s High School CBSE being a prestigious institution, is one of the most sought after schools in the locality.The school aims at the education primarily of the Catholic community around and then to all the communities. After more than three decades the society of sisters of St. John was proud to take another bold step to affiliate the institution to central board of secondary education New Delhi since in the year 2007 a proposal for starting a CBSE section along with existing State syllabus came from people of the locality. The society applied for NOC from state government and the same was granted on 30th March 2008. After obtaining the NOC from state government the society applied for affiliation process and obtained affiliation from New Delhi in 2009.

Along with Academic excellence the institution aim at encouraging students to be responsible citizens of India.
